Barcelona is such a wonderful city to visit not only in summer, but in winter as well; so much art, culture, fashion and spirit surround this place. The people are very friendly and the possibilities to have fun, relax and enjoy the best time of your life are endless. Barcelona as architecture is influenced by Gaudi’s masterpieces that contain many intricate forms and convoluted shapes. His work is so unique it’s almost spooky and scary. His beautiful architecture is used in fashion as well. Here is a tshirt that helps you understand what I mean.

If you do get the chance to visit Barcelona, do buy a card that lets you travel around the city for free. I paid 30 something Euros and had it for 5 days, so it’s a very good deal!

Gaudi has nothing to do with Hundertwasser, which by the way, is in Vienna, not in Barcelona…Hundertwasser was built by the architect Univ.-Prof. Joseph Krawina and the painter Friedensreich Hundertwasser ;)

congratulations!…than what is the point of your comment? Usually people care only if you write something related to the topic, otherwise, no-one cares ;)

there’s obviously similarities between Hundertwasser and Gaudi – so stop arguing as your comment isn’t related to the topic either (and mine isn’t either.

Anyway, I like the pictures and didn’t know there was such a building in Barcelona :)

Lovely pictures and overall post, I’ve also recently visited it and it’s truly a wonderful site. I don’t know how some can compare something as primitive as Hundertwasser, to something as fluid and as thought-of as Gaudis’ style… Yeah, they both drift from the obvious “architecture” but one follows strict aesthetics, whereas the other just translates colorful and joyful feelings into a built form. This might sound weird, but from the architectural background, there is NO connection whatsoever between the two. You may proceed with your ranting now…
